Costa Rica Surfing Report – Tamarindo Surf Contest Results

Una Ola guest, Jason Torres wins the third event in the CNS (Circuito Nacional de Surf) season, the Torneo Witch’s Rock, a 4-star held in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Unfortunately for the other contestants, Jason Torres is on a competitive surfing tear, and difficult to beat.  As the current CNS points leader, this is his second win of the season.  With a 2nd place finish as his lowest result so far, he is going to be next to impossible to catch, in the race to crown a Costa Rican Surfing Champion.

Jason stayed at Una Ola, during the Tamarindo contest along with fellow competitors, Gilbert Brown, Jairo Perez and Una Ola surf team rider, Josymar Fuentes.  This was there first time staying in Playa Grande, during a contest and the boys were blown away by the set up at Una Ola Surf Resort.

Jason Torres, who enjoyed playing on the Indoboard and watching surf videos in our lounge kept saying, “This place is amazing!”  We’re glad that Una Ola Surf Resort meets the standards of the best surfers in Costa Rica.
