Costa Rica Surf Report:

4-6ft  Chest to head waves with poor to fair shape

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves are dropped quite a bit overnight in Playa Grande and the conditions are looking favorable for the incoming tide.  The tide is too low at the moment, but we should see much better wave as it starts to fill in.  This should also cause the size to increase a little with the tidal push.  The wind was light offshore and conditions are glassy.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had a morning low tide of 1.55ft @ 8:01am, moving up to a high tide of 8.24ft @ 2:09pm, then dropping back down to a low tide of 0.88ft @ 8:21pm tonight.

Costa Rica Weather:

We currently have sunny skies with light offshore winds with  a slight chance of rain later today.   It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day down here in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Surf Report:

7-8ft  Overhead waves with poor shape

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves are still too big for the sandbars in Playa Grande today and closing out.  The lineup is full of rip current, which is making a mess.  The wind was light offshore and conditions are glassy, but that isn’t helping here in Grande.  It looks like your best bet is to hit the reefs again today.  See you out there if you do.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had a morning low tide of 1.91ft @ 7:15am, moving up to a high tide of 7.98ft @ 1:25pm, then dropping back down to a low tide of 1.18ft @ 7:42pm tonight.

Costa Rica Weather:

We currently have cloudy skies with light offshore winds and a chance of rain later today.   It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day down here in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Surf Report:

8-12ft  Overhead to DOH waves with poor shape

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves are way too big for the sandbars in Playa Grande this morning.  The waves are well overhead, but closing out and the lineup is tons of current ripping through it adding to the mess of waves.  The wind was light offshore and conditions are glassy, but that isn’t helping.  It looks like your best bet is to hit the reefs today.  The swell will work much better on a reef break.

We had an early morning low tide of 2.19ft @ 6:19am, moving up to a high tide of 7.77ft @ 12:33pm, then dropping back down to a low tide of 1.47ft @ 6:55pm this evening.

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves looked better this morning with some fun peaks coming through.  The wind was calm turning light offshore with clean and glassy surfing conditions.  There was a bit too much backwash at high tide.  Hopefully, the wind will remain calm and the lower tide will create some hollower sections.

Costa Rica Surf Report:

4-5ft  Chest to shoulder high waves with fair shape

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves looked better this morning than they’ve looked in a while.  The wind is already coming onshore, but its still glassy.  Don’t expect the conditions to last very long as a fast dropping tide and unfavorable wind patterns should make a mess of things soon.

We had an early morning high tide of 10.17ft @ 6:25am, dropping quickly to a low tide of -0.23ft @ 12:37pm, then moving up to a high tide of 9.05ft @ 6:51pm this evening.

We currently have mostly sunny skies with light onshore winds and a slight chance of rain later today.   It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day down here in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.
