Surf Report – Costa Rica Surfing Reports – August 19, 2010

Costa Rica Surf Report:

5-7ft  Shoulder to head high + waves with poor to fair shape

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -   The waves picked up this morning with overhead  peaks, but with too much current mixing things up.  The wind was variable and turning onshore by 9am.  It doesn’t look like it will get any better with the dropping tide.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had an early morning low tide of 2.06ft @ 3:55am, moving up to a high tide of 7.85ft @ 10:23am, then dropping back down to a low tide of 1.72ft @ 4:48pm this afternoon.

Costa Rica Weather:

We currently have mostly sunny skies with calm winds and a chance of rain later today.   It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day down here in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.
