Please Note: I’m currently staying at a fantastic vacation rental in Nicaragua, for a few days of surfing and relaxing.  I will be doing my surf reports from various beaches that I’ll be surfing during my trip.  I will return to do our daily surf report for Playa Grande, Costa Rica on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

Costa Rica (Nicaragua) Surf Report:

3-4ft  Waist to chest high with poor shape.

Playa Santana, Nicaragua – The wind is steady onshore again this morning!  Panga Drops in Playa Colorado is breaking best with crumbly chest high sets.  Playa Santana looked to be picking up way too much wind and is still too low tide this morning to make it worth a go out.

I’ve been traveling to Nicaragua since 2002 and this is the first time I’ve visited and wind has been onshore the entire time.   Its been a good trip anyways.  The people are friendly and the country is beautiful.  I’m just about to pack up and hit the road.

Hopefully, the wind will clean up a bit and give us a nice glass off session later today in Playa Grande.

Costa Rica (Nicaragua) Tides:

We had an early morning low tide of 1.6ft @ 6:37am, moving up to a high tide of 5.7ft @ 12:51pm, then dropping back down to a low tide of 1.8ft @ 7:05pm tonight.

Costa Rica (Nicaragua) Weather:

We have sunny skies with light onshore winds.  There is a little bit of a marine layer (fog) this morning.  All and all it looks to be a very nice day in Southern Nicaragua.
