Costa Rica Surf Report:

2-3ft  Knee to waist high with fair shape.

or was it?

6-8ft   Head to tail, and reptilian.

YOU DECIDE!

Playa Grande, Costa Rica -  The waves were small with decent shape this morning, but the large crocodile (6-8ft) made for an uneasy surf session.  The tide was dropping out fast and with a potentially hungry croc in the water, it was a better idea to spectate than surf today.  The winds were light and blowing onshore.   The conditions were clean and glassy, but I advise that you stay out of the water if you can.  Hopefully, this crocodile decides to head back to the estuary soon.

Surf forecasts are predicting the swell to start picking up a bit over the next couple days, but don’t expect too much, maybe chest to shoulder high.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had an early morning high tide of 9.89ft @4:29am, dropping quickly to a low tide of -1.36ft @ 10:33am, then moving up to a high tide of 10.45ft @ 4:52pm this evening.

Costa Rica Weather:

We have sunny skies with light offshore winds.  All and all, its another beautiful day in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.
