Costa Rica Surf Report:

2-3-ft   Knee to waist high waves with poor shape.

Pavones, Costa Rica – The swell dropped again today.  I didn’t get to check it until later when it was a complete mess.  The wind was onshore, making for poor surfing conditions.

Costa Rica Tides:

We had an early morning high tide of 9.98ft @ 4:22am, dropping down to a low tide of -0.30ft @ 10:28am, then pushing in to a high tide of 9.77ft @ 4:40pm this afternoon.

Costa Rica Weather:

The weather in Pavones, Costa Rica was mostly cloudy with the occasional rain shower throughout the day.  There is a good chance of rain showers overnight.   The wind was steady onshore. The surfing conditions were poor and choppy.

Surf Report - Pavones, Costa Rica - June 10, 2011

Costa Rica Surf Report:

4-6ft  Chest to head high + waves with poor to fair shape.

Pavones, Costa Rica – A few of the boys headed across the Golfo Dulce on a boat trip to surf some good rights on the southwestern tip of Osa Peninsula at Cabo Matapalo.  With them went the camera so all the photos are from over there.  The surf was small, but very fun with the occasional overhead set passing through.  The wind was variable turning offshore at about 11:00am.  The crowd was very light.  The fishing was awesome!

Costa Rica Tides:

We had a morning high tide of 8.81ft @ 9:16am, dropping to a low tide of 0.99ft @ 3:31pm, then pushing up to a high tide of 7.85ft @ 9:46pm tonight.

Costa Rica Weather:

The weather in southern Costa Rica was hot with sunny and partly cloudy skies this morning in Pavones, Costa Rica.   The wind was light and surfing conditions were glassy to semi-glassy most of the day.

Please Note: My camera’s shutter is no longer functioning and the camera immediately began displaying a ERR 99 message, which essentially means that I need to purchase a new camera, as the cost to repair in Costa Rica isn’t worth the trouble.  In the meantime, I’ve borrowed a friends camera until I get my new hotness.  Hopefully, this will not affect the surf reports adversely and I can continue posting up-to-date surf reports for Pavones, Costa Rica.
