Costa Rica Surf Report:
6-9ft Overhead waves with fair shape.
Pavones, Costa Rica – The point was big, but had weird winds. Harley decided to head to Matapalo, which looked perfect at Backwash, from the photos. I’m currently in Playa Hermosa, where it’s big and closing out. There were some huge A-frame peaks that looked good until dumping all at once on the inside. Huge tidal swings and light variable winds are making for timing issues at most spots, but for those who know where to go, at the right time, scored today.
Costa Rica Tides:
We had a morning low tide of -0.14ft @ 7:30am, moving up to a high tide of 9.88ft @ 1:52pm, then dropping back down to a low tide of -0.85ft @ 8:07pm tonight.
Costa Rica Weather:
The weather in Pavones, Costa Rica was hot with mostly cloudy skies today then raining later this evening. The wind was calm early, turning to light variable onshore winds all day.
