Surf Report – Pavones, Costa Rica – August 3, 2011

Pavones Sunset

Costa Rica Surf Report:

3ft   Waist high waves with poor shape.

Pavones, Costa Rica – The swell picked up slightly today, but it looks more like weak windswell than anything.  I didn’t get to check it until later but it was semi-glassy and crowded.  The wind was onshore, making for poor surfing conditions.  Unfortunately, I accidentally reformatted my memory and lost the surf report photos for today.  I did manage to recover a nice sunset photo.  Please enjoy!

Costa Rica Tides:

We had an early morning high tide of 10.20ft @ 5:06am, dropping down to a low tide of -0.41ft @ 11:13am, then pushing up to a high tide of 9.65ft @ 5:26pm this afternoon.

Costa Rica Weather:

The weather in Pavones, Costa Rica was mostly cloudy with the occasional rain shower throughout the day.  There is a good chance of rain showers overnight.   The wind was steady onshore. The surfing conditions were poor and choppy.
